Something very weird happened today, and I think there’s a serious bug somewhere in Apple’s system.
On my Mac’s App Store, I was prompted to update an app that was NOT installed on my Mac:

All the other apps that are installed updated fine, except for that app. When I try to update it, I got a prompt to enter ‘my’ password:

I thought it was asking for my password. Unbeknownst to me at that time, it was asking for someone else‘s password. So, I entered my password multiple times and multiple times, it complained that my password was incorrect:

I was 100% sure I entered my password correctly. And I did NOT get any prompts for the codes on my other Apple devices. In hindsight, my guess is that the code prompts must have gone to a random person’s Apple device.
After clicking on “Forgot Password”, I saw this strange sight:

The email address belong to some random person that I do not know! No wonder my password was rejected multiple times! It was asking for someone else‘s Apple ID password! When I click on “Continue”, I saw this:

That person’s phone number must be ending in “94”.
Apple, you need to do some explanation.
This bug leaks someone else’s email address. It contains enough information for me to contact that person on LinkedIn (to give him heads up that strange code prompts may appear on his Apple devices).
